Items that are no longer needed by the university are
consolidated for our surplus auctions. These auctions are
typically held twice a year in the early spring and the late
fall.

"Open house" is held prior to the auction for the departments on
campus to inspect items and if a campus need is indicated, the items
can be transferred back for university use.

Auctions are held at the Auction Warehouse, 90 Robertson Street,
Radford, Virginia. To get to the auction site from I-81 take exit
105(Route 232), go approximately 3 miles to Robertson Street (Exxon
Service Station on corner), turn left to building at end of street on the
left. From downtown Radford, take US 11 South to Route 232(First Street)
at Radford High School, going south on 232 go approximately 3/4 mile to
Robertson Street. Turn right, last building on the left.

Radford University employees and their immediate family are
eligible to purchase individual items or a "lot" of items
costing $500.00 or less per lot or item.

TERMS OF SALE: FULL PAYMENT IS DUE DAY OF SALE no later than (1)hour
after the close of auction by either Cash, Personal checks, Cashier's
checks, VISA/MC, Traveler's check, Money Orders, or properly completed
Bank Letter of Credit accepted. In state, personal or business checks
up to $5,000.00 will be accepted. Out of state checks will be accepted
for up to $500.00 with proper identification. Purchases in excess of
$5,000.00 must be paid by one of the above methods. A $25.00
Administrative charge plus all legal and/or state collection charges
will be charged for all returned checks. Future checks will not be
accepted. Make checks payable to TREASURER OF VIRGINIA.
